Marrakech to Zgora (2 Days /1 Nights)

Day 1: Marrakech / ait Ben Hadou / ouarzazat/ zagora We will meet you at your riad or hotel at 8:30a.m., depart Marrakech, and transport over the High Atlas mountains Tizi nTichka pass. We will have time to stop and enjoy impressive landscapes, and break for coffee and fresh-squeezed orange juice. We will spend the afternoon visiting World Heritage Site of Ait Benhaddou. This village of clustered Berber Kasbahs has been used as a backdrop for more than 20 films and was one of the most important fortress strongholds on the old Salt Road where caravans brought slaves, gold, ivory and salt from Saharan Africa to Marrakech and beyond. We’ll pass through Ouarzazate, We pass through Ouarzazate, have lunch and follow the Valley Draa head for Zagora ; deeper into the desert landscape, until dunes appear on the horizon. Our mid-afternoon destination is the auberge (small country inn) , where you meet your camel guide and ride into the bivouac (camp). Upon arrival you will have a traditional tagine dinner prepared (vegetarians welcome) under the evening stars shining brilliantly in the clear night sky. Climb the dunes and watch the moon rise before retiring to your bed in a nomad tent. Day 2: Zagora/ Ouarzazat / Marrakech Return by camel at sunrise to the auberge for breakfast and shower. The remainder of the day is spent driving back to Ouarzazate where we’ll stop for lunch and visit the old Glaoui Kasbah Taouirt. Then we cross the High Atlas once more, down the Tizi nTichka pass. After lunch you can wander with a guide through palmeries, villages, gardens, and kasbahs for a close look at traditional Berber ways of life. Visit the market in Tinehir and old kasbah quarter. Marrakech To Fes 2 Days & 1 Nights Desert Tour

DAY 1: Marrakech - Ouarzazate - Merzouga We will meet you at your riad or hotel at 8:30a.m., depart Marrakech, and transport over the High Atlas mountains Tizi nTichka pass. The next city is Kelaat Mgouna, a Berber city that celebrates the festival of roses each year, every first week end of May is an opportunity for locals to meet and sell the rose water and other products made from the rose. You will continue along the valley of roses until Boumalen Dades, another Berber village on the road of 1000 kasbahs. 45 km further, you will get to Tineghir with it’s beautiful palm grove, and Jewish quarter. You continue to Erg Chebbi dunes in Merzouga Sahara desert. Enjoy a camel ride for 1h30 at the sunset to get to the oasis where the camp is located. Spend the night in the bivouac at Merzouga Sahara dunes under nomadic tents or outside under shooting stars. Play drums with the camel drivers. Dinner and overnight in Merzouga Sahara desert camp DAY 2 : Erg Chebbi - Ziz Valley - Midelt - Azrou - Ifrane - Fes Around 5h30 a.m, you will wake up to enjoy the sunrise over the dunes, possibly the best moment of Merzouga desert, followed by a typical breakfast in the bivouac of Merzouga, then you will ride back the camels, to meet you driver and travel from Merzouga dunes to Fes via the beautiful Ziz valley, Errachida and Midelt. Lunch on the way and short break to watch the monkeys in cedar forests of the middle Atlas close to Azrou city at “Gourrou forests”. You will continue to Fes, where your tour from Marrakech to Fes ends. For information Fes is considered to be the 4th largest city of Moroccan kingdom, it is devide into 3 sections (1:Ville Nouvelle built by French protectorate, 2: Fes El Bali or the interior of walls and ramparts and 3: Fes Jdid). In order to access to the medina of Fes, the main gate is Bab Boujeloud.

Fes To Erg Chebbi 5 Days & 4 Nights Desert Tours

Day 2: Merzougua Bivouac trekkers return by camel at sunrise to the auberge for breakfast and shower. You can chill out in the dunes or the auberge, or take your car and driver for an off road tour around the Erg Chebbi. We'll stop to visit Nomad families for tea if they are in the region, and you can explore as much as you wish. The village of Hamlia is on your route, and is famous for Gnaoua music. Day 3: Merzougua / Saghrou montain / Dades gorges We'll drive off road today, traveling through the Saghro mountains.Along the way we pass through folded exposed rock slabs of fossils and we can stop and visit a fossil workshop for a closer look at Sahara’s wonderful varieties of ancient life. Before Dades valley of a thousand Kasbahs. You will pass through many Berber villages, and see green riverside oasis and barren red hillsides clustered with kasbahs (fortified dwellings that house many families and their livestock). Stay in upper Dades valley auberge, with dinner on the terrace, overlooking the valley gorge and gardens. Day 4: Dades gorgres / Todra gorges Our next destination is Tinehir,we'll have a visit to Todra Gorge, where sheer limestone walls rise to 300 m in its narrowest part. After lunch you can wander with a guide through palmeries, villages, gardens, and kasbahs for a close look at traditional Berber ways of life. Visit the market in Tinehir and old kasbah quarter. We will stay in an old kasbah, with evening Moroccan dinner by the pool. Day 5: Todra gorges / ait hani / imlchil / Fes Our next destination is a drive off road (weather permitting) across the mountains to explore in the Village of Imlchil where it’s happened each years on the end of month 8 / 27 until 1 Sptembre fistivale of the betrothal. This tradition goes back to the time where Ait Hadiddou nomads, met once a year to exchange the products of crops and livestock, and building alliances is gave birth to the legend of the betrothed. It continued until today. The moussem also have a festival of colective mariage & traditional music… and the remote village we will contunue our drive through varied and preserved landscapes.
